Vegetables

Even though we're technically a fruit orchard, we also have a strong passion for growing vegetables.  We believe that the sweetest and richest soil grows the best vegetables and use a strong organic approach to preparing and amending our soil each year.  Learn more about our sustainabie practices here.  

We set our vegetables apart by using unique and selected seed varieties and harvesting only at the peak of ripeness.  Believe it or not, not all vegetable seeds are created equal.  There are hundreds, if not thousands of varieties available of each vegetable, some that store better, some that might yield better, and others that actually taste better.  As avid vegetable eaters ourselves, we want to grow produce that we can enjoy and truly taste the difference.  Therefore, when selecting seeds, we emphasize taste in the variety that we choose, often times an heirloom.  Many times these are varieties that have been grown for 50 or more years and have a unique story to go with them.  For example, read here about our Mortgage Lifter tomato!  And we do NOT grow any GMO seeds.  

Also, in order to experience optimum flavor, produce must be picked at its peak ripeness.  In fact, research has shown that produce picked ripe is more nutriet dense as well.  Because we sell almost everything we grow direct to you the consumer, we can often get vegetables from farm to market in less than 24 hours.  Now that's fresh and we believe quality you can taste!
